To help you understand all of the costs associated with a funeral service and make an informed decision, we’ve broken them down in our general price list. We also have a variety of payment options to ease the financial burden of honoring your loved one so that you can give them the service they deserve. Traditional Funeral Service Grouping - $4,495.00
This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming, Cosmetizing, Dressing and Casketing, Receiving and Handling of Flowers, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 day), Services and Facilities for Local Funeral Ceremony, Grave Set Up, Local Transfer/Removal (35 miles), Hearse, Flower Van.
No Deductions. Available only with the purchase of A CASKET AND A WARRANTED VAULT from Laughlin Service.
Alternate Funeral Service Grouping - $5,195.00
This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming, Cosmetizing, Dressing and Casketing, Receiving and Handling of Flowers, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 day), Services and Facilities for Local Funeral Ceremony, Local Transfer/Removal (35 miles), Hearse, Flower Van.
No Deductions. Available only with the purchase of A CASKET from Laughlin Service. Additional charges for extra day of Visitation, mileage and grave set up, if necessary, will apply.
Forwarding of Remains Grouping with Services - $5,095.00
This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming, Cosmetizing, Dressing and Casketing, Receiving and Handling of Flowers, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 day), Services and Facilities for Funeral Ceremony, Local Transfer/Removal (35 miles), Transfer to out of area Airport (Birmingham or Nashville) and Air Tray.
No Deductions. Available only with the purchase of A CASKET from Laughlin Service. Additional charges for Visitation and mileage will apply.
Receiving of Remains Grouping - $4795.00
This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Receiving and Handling of Flowers, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 day), Services and Facilities for Funeral Ceremony, Transfer of Remains from out of area Airport, Hearse, Flower Van and Grave Set Up, where required.
No Deductions. Available only with the purchase of a WARRANTED VAULT from Laughlin Service. Additional charges for extra day of Visitation and mileage will apply.
CREMATION PACKAGES
The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. You are in no way limited to these service options. You may itemize services in order to select only those which are right for you.
Cremation Following Traditional Funeral Service (at our facility) - $5,995.00
This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming, Cosmetology, Dressing and Casketing, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 Day), Services and Facilities for Funeral Ceremony at the Funeral Home, Receiving and Placement of Flowers, Local Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home (35 miles), use of a standard size Rental Casket with crepe insert, Full Size Urn (or credit), Register Book package, as well as the Cremation.
No deductions. Any additional charges for Shelter of Remains in excess of two days, extra day of Visitation, Hearse, Flower Van and mileage will be as shown on the General Price List.
Cremation Before Memorial Service Grouping - $5,095.00
This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Services and Facilities for Visitation and Memorial Service at the Funeral Home, Receiving and Handling of Flowers, Local Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home (35 miles), Shelter of Remains (Two Day Maximum), Full Size Urn, Cremation Transport Box, Crematory Transfer, Cremation and Processing Cremains, and a Register Book Package.
No deductions. Additional charges for other services will be as shown on the General Price List.

This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Services and Facilities for Visitation, Services and Facilities for a Visitation and Memorial Service at the Funeral Home, Receiving and Placement of Flowers, Local Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home (35 miles), Shelter of Remains (Two Day Maximum), Full Size Urn (or credit), Cremation Transport Box, Crematory Transfer, Cremation and Processing Cremains, Register Book Package, Transfer to local cemetery, and Cremation Grave set up including tent and chairs.
No deductions. Additional charges for other services will be as shown on the General Price List.
Cremation with Closure - $3,300.00
Minimum Services of Staff, Local Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home (35 miles), Washing and Disinfecting, Cosmetizing, Dressing and Casketing, Shelter of Remains (Two Day Maximum), Alternate Cremation Container, Crematory Transfer, Crematory Fee, transfer to crematory and processing of cremated remains, Single Capacity Full Size Urn, and 30 minute of Private Viewing for the immediate family.
Direct Cremation - $2,595.00
This includes Minimum Services of Staff, Local Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home (35 miles), Shelter of Remains (Two Day Maximum), Cremation Container (Transport Box), Crematory Transfer, Cremation and Processing Cremains, and laminated temporary container.
Direct Cremation with Visitation - $3,505.00
Includes a Visitation in a parlor to be completed by 4:00 p.m. Does not include an urn or register book.
GENERAL PRICE LIST
These prices are effective as of October 1, 2023 and are subject to change without notice.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the goods and services you selected.
BASIC SERVICES OF THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR & STAFF $ 2495
Our basic service charge includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party to plan the funeral and arrange for music; coordination of services with cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required; preparation and filing of necessary certificates and permits; preparation and forwarding of obituary notices as requested; service vehicles to secure, file and record death certificates, obtain and deliver permits, and file legal papers; application, coordination, notification or government related claims/military honors and processing insurance claims. planning of funeral arrangements; Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facilities such as sheltering of remains (3 day maximum), professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building maintenance, inventory and utility expenses, administrative costs, necessary equipment such as church trucks and protective clothing and other items required to maintain compliance associated with government regulations. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (A proportionate share of this fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains; hereafter, called “minimum services of staff”.) THIS IS A NON-DECLINABLE FEE.
EMBALMING $ 900
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

IMMEDIATE BURRIAL - $3155.00
This charge for immediate burial includes minimum services of staff, local removal of remains (within 35 miles), washing and disinfecting, cosmetology, dressing and casketing, shelter of remains (two day maximum), service vehicle for filing the necessary papers, use of church trucks, local transportation to the cemetery, and grave setup with a casket purchased from Laughlin Service.
This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to burial.
Immediate burial with casket provided by the purchaser is $3655.00
FORWARDING OF REMAINS TO ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME - $3675.00
This charge includes: minimum services of staff, local removal of remains (within 35 miles), embalming, preparation of remains for shipment; consultation on arrangements; preparation and filing of required death certificate; obtaining necessary transit permit; coordinating service with receiving funeral home; shipping case; air tray; and transportation to BHM or BNA airport.
THIS CHARGE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE SERVICES OF STAFF AND FACILITIES FOR VIEWING AND/OR FOR FUNERAL RITES OR CEREMONIES PRIOR TO FORWARDING OF THE REMAINS.
RECEIVING OF REMAINS FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME - $2530.00
This charge includes: minimum services of staff; temporary shelter of remains; use of church trucks; and transportation of remains to cemetery or crematory.
