Service Pricing

To help you understand all of the costs associated with a funeral service and make an informed decision, we’ve broken them down in our general price list. We also have a variety of payment options to ease the financial burden of honoring your loved one so that you can give them the service they deserve. If you need any assistance or have questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our staff is happy to help you explore all the options available to you.

TRADITIONAL PACKAGES

You are in no way limited to these service options. You may itemize services in order to select only those which are right for you.

Traditional Funeral Service Grouping - $3,995.00

This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming, Cosmetizing, Dressing and Casketing, Receiving and Handling of Flowers, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 day), Services and Facilities for Local Funeral Ceremony, Grave Set Up, Local Transfer/Removal, Hearse, Flower Van.

No Deductions. Available only with the purchase of A CASKET AND A WARRANTED VAULT from Laughlin Service. 


Alternate Funeral Service Grouping - $4,495.00

This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming, Cosmetizing, Dressing and Casketing, Receiving and Handling of Flowers, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 day), Services and Facilities for Local Funeral Ceremony, Local Transfer/Removal, Hearse, Flower Van.

No Deductions. Available only with the purchase of A CASKET from Laughlin Service. Additional charges for extra day of Visitation and mileage will apply.


Forwarding of Remains Grouping with Services - $4195.00

This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming, Cosmetizing, Dressing and Casketing, Receiving and Handling of Flowers, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 day), Local Transfer/Removal, Transfer to local Airport, Service Vehicle (local only), and Air Tray.

No Deductions. Available only with the purchase of A CASKET from Laughlin Service. Additional charges for Visitation and mileage will apply.

Visitation may be substituted for Funeral Ceremony for no additional fee. If both are requested there will be an additional charge of $475.


Forwarding of Remains Package (No Services) - $2970.00

This includes minimum services of staff, local removal of remains, embalming, preparation of remains for shipment, consultation on arrangements, preparation and filing of required death certificate, obtaining necessary transit permit, coordinating service with receiving funeral home, shipping case, air tray, and transportation to Huntsville airport.

This Charge DOES NOT Include Shipping Charges, The Services of Staff And Facilities For Any Visitation And/Or Rites Or Ceremonies Prior To Forwarding of The Remains. No Deductions. Available only with the purchase of a casket from Laughlin Service.


Receiving of Remains Grouping - $3,595.00

This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Receiving and Handling of Flowers, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 day), Services and Facilities for Funeral Ceremony, Removal from Huntsville Airport, use of Church Trucks, Hearse, Flower Van and Grave Set Up.

No Deductions. Available only with the purchase of a WARRANTED VAULT from Laughlin Service. Additional charges for extra day of Visitation and mileage will apply.

 


 

CREMATION PACKAGES

The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. You are in no way limited to these service options. You may itemize services in order to select only those which are right for you.

Cremation Following Traditional Funeral Service (for services held at our facility) - $5,295.00

This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Embalming, Cosmetology Dressing and Casketing, Services and Facilities for Visitation (1 Day), Services and Facilities for Funeral Ceremony at the Funeral Home, Receiving and Placement of Flowers, Local Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home, use of a Rental Casket with insert, Crematory Transfer, Cremation and Processing Cremains, Credit toward the purchase of a full size urn, Register Book package, and use of video monitors.

No deductions. Additional charges for Shelter of Remains in excess of two days, extra day of Visitation, Hearse, Flower Van and mileage will be as shown on the General Price List.

No deductions. Additional charges for other services will be as shown on the General Price List.


Cremation Before Memorial Service and Interment - $5,190.00

This includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Services and Facilities for Visitation, Services and Facilities for Memorial Service at the Funeral Home, Receiving and Placement of Flowers, Local Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home, Shelter of Remains (Two Day Maximum), Full Size Urn (or credit), Cremation Transport Box, Crematory Transfer, Cremation and Processing Cremains, Register Book Package, Transfer to local cemetery, and Cremation Grave set up including tent and chairs.

No deductions. Additional charges for other services will be as shown on the General Price List.


Cremation with Closure - $3,255.00

Minimum Services of Staff, Local Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home, Washing and Disinfecting, Cosmetology, Dressing and Casketing, Shelter of Remains (Two Day Maximum), Alternate Cremation Container, Crematory Transfer, Crematory Fee, transfer to crematory and processing of cremated remains, Single Capacity Full Size Urn,Basic Register Book, and 30 minute of Private Viewing for the immediate family.

 


Direct Cremation - $2,595.00

This includes Minimum Services of Staff, Local Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home, Shelter of Remains (Two Day Maximum), Cremation Container (Transport Box), Crematory Transfer, Cremation and Processing Cremains, and laminated temporary container.  

 


 

GENERAL PRICE LIST

These prices are effective as of September 1, 2018 and are subject to change without notice.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the goods and services you selected.


 

BASIC SERVICES OF THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR & STAFF

Our basic service charge includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party; preparation and filing of necessary certificates and permits; forwarding of obituary notices as requested; planning of funeral arrangements; and coordination of service with cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required. Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facilities such as insurance, maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs, and equipment and inventory expenses. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (A proportionate share of this fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains; hereafter, called “minimum services of staff”.) 


 

EMBALMING

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

TRANSFER OF REMAINS TO THE FUNERAL HOME (within Madison County)

(A charge of $3.00 per mile from the place of death will apply to all calls outside of Madison County.) 


 

USE OF FACILITIES, STAFF, AND EQUIPMENT FOR SERVICES CONDUCTED AT OUR FACILITY

  • Visitation at the Funeral Home (First day or portion thereof)
  • Each Additional Day of Visitation
  • Private Family Only Viewing before Cremation

  • Visitation at Other Facility (Signed Release required)
  • Funeral Services at Other Facility
  • Supervision of Memorial Service at Other Facility
  • Services and Equipment for Graveside Service

 

AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT

  • Hearse (Casket Coach) within 35 mile radius
    (The charge for additional miles is $4.00 per mile.)
  • Flower Van within 35 mile radius
    (The charge for additional miles is $3.00 per mile)
  • Transfer of Remains To or From Huntsville, AL Airport - $400.00
  • Transfer of Remains To or From Out of Area Airport ((Birmingham, AL or Nashville, TN)) 

 

DIRECT CREMATION - $2,595.00

The charge for a direct cremation includes minimum services of staff, local removal of remains, shelter of remains, crematory transfer, cremation and processing cremains and service vehicle for filing necessary papers. This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to the cremation.

The containers we provide for the cremation are fiberboard boxes. You may elect to use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering).

The cremated remains will be returned in a cardboard box and bag. The family may elect, instead, to purchase an urn or bring a container of their choice for the cremated remains.

Direct Cremation with cremation casket container selected from Laughlin Service (in addition to cost of cremation casket container) is $2595.00


 

IMMEDIATE BURRIAL - $2645.00

This charge for immediate burial includes minimum services of staff, local removal of remains, washing and disinfecting, cosmetology, dressing and casketing, shelter of remains (two day maximum), service vehicle for filing the necessary papers, use of church trucks, local transportation to the cemetery, and grave setup with a casket purchased from Laughlin Service.

This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to burial.

Immediate burial with casket provided by the purchaser is $3545.00


 

FORWARDING OF REMAINS TO ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME - $3220.00

This charge includes: minimum services of staff, local removal of remains, embalming, preparation of remains for shipment; consultation on arrangements; preparation and filing of required death certificate; obtaining necessary transit permit; coordinating service with receiving funeral home; shipping case; air tray; and transportation to HUNTSVILLE airport.

THIS CHARGE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE SERVICES OF STAFF AND FACILITIES FOR VIEWING AND/OR FOR FUNERAL RITES OR CEREMONIES PRIOR TO FORWARDING OF THE REMAINS. 


 

RECEIVING OF REMAINS FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME - $2105.00

This charge includes: minimum services of staff; temporary shelter of remains; use of church trucks; and transportation of remains to cemetery or crematory.

THIS CHARGE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE SERVICES OF STAFF AND FACILITIES FOR VIEWING AND/OR FOR FUNERAL RITES OR CEREMONIES.
